Pasta with Smoked Salmon, Vodka and Caviar



Pasta with Smoked Salmon, Vodka and Caviar. A beautiful dish, from Maureen Ruxton, East of Scotland.

  • 400g Farfalle, (butterfly) or Penne Pasta
  • 200g Creme Fraiche
  • 200g Smoke Salmon, sliced into strips
  • 2 Tbsp Vodka
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp Lumpfish caviar
  • Salt


Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil.
Cook the Farfalle, stirring ocassionally until al dente.
Drain Pasta and return to pan.
Add the creme fraiche, Salmon and Vodka
Stir well until everything is warmed through
Place in bowls, grinding black pepper over top
Add 1/2 tsp caviar to the top of each bowl
