All the best for 2024

Dear Friends,
As we gather together to celebrate and enjoy 2024, let us take a moment to reflect on the true essence of our church. This is a time of love, compassion, and goodwill towards all. It is a year that reminds us of the importance of peace and harmony in our lives and in the world around us.

In the midst of any festivities and merriment, let us extend our hearts and hands to one another, embracing the spirit of unity and understanding. May the message of our church inspire us to be more compassionate, more forgiving, and more accepting of each other´s differences.

This year, let us come together as a global community and strive for a world where peace and harmony prevail. May we look beyond borders and differences, recognizing the humanity that binds us all. Together, let us work towards creating a world where kindness and empathy guide our actions, and where the light of love shines brightly in every corner.

As we enjoy time and share laughter with our loved ones, let us also remember those who may be facing challenges or hardships. In the spirit of our church, let us extend a helping hand to those in need, spreading hope and joy to all.

I will try to continue to maintain this site so that people from all around the world can share the joy of our local parish church

Wishing you and your loved ones a year filled with love, peace, and harmony. May the magic of this year bring warmth to your hearts and inspire positive change in the world.

Warmest regards,
Jean

St Mary Magdalenes.co.uk Jean Douglas

In loving memory of Jean Douglas, born on May 24, 1933, who, upon retiring from teaching, decided to give more back to the church she loved, St. Mary Magdalene´s. She learned to write code and built and maintained this website for around 25 to 30 years, constantly updating and modifying the content to include more people and bring joy to the lives of those in other countries as well as those who could not attend the church in person. This was especially vital during the COVID-19 pandemic when travel was restricted and people depended on the site for news from the church. With around 70,000 to 80,000 hits per year, she reached and brought joy to many people.
